It started a long time ago, but as the family grew and our parents told their stories, it seemed wise to record their story and our heritage. Now it is our children that hear these stories and want to learn more. That is the intent of this web site.

It started in Armenia, then to Wisconsin, on to California, Washington, Idaho and now in many states. The Kachig(i)an family is spread far and wide. Our grandparents were called Kachigian. Our parents at times dropped the second "i" to simplify it to Kachigan, but over time, we now all call ourselves either Kachigan or Kachigian.

Now there are many generations of Kachig(i)an's and this web site will help us stay connected.
